Biography

As well as performing as Glass Tiger’s keyboardist, Sam has been involved as a main songwriter and producer for the band’s recordings.

In 1994 with a shift in musical focus and direction, he founded his production company Willow Music, and soon after, the first of the Sanctuary™ series, A Day Remembered, was released.

Since that time, Sam has continued to release titles in this series with a number of releases reaching Gold sales status in Canada.

Sam has also been a director and resource leader for the Songwriters Association of Canada, teaching the craft of songwriting through educational programs and workshops for songwriters across Canada, and co-writing and producing other artists.

In 2009 he was commissioned to write and perform the music theme for the Hawk One F86 Sabre’s airshow performances as part of the Centennial Of Flight Celebrations.

During the spring airshow rehearsals in Comox, BC, Sam also flew with the Snowbird aerobatic team in Snowbird #5 jet (Major Doug Clements).

Sam also owns/manages a state-of-the-art recording studio in Newmarket, Ontario called SlipOne Digital.

As of 18 June 2012 he has also been appointed as Honorary Colonel for 8 Air Maintenance Squadron at CFB Trenton.
