Samuel Sydney (Sam) Doumany (born 2 September 1937) is a retired Australian politician. He was a Member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly and Attorney-General and Minister for Justice in Queensland.[1]

Politics

Doumany was elected to the Queensland Legislative Assembly as the Liberal candidate for Kurilpa on 7 December 1974 (the 1974 Queensland state election). He was Minister for Welfare from 10 October 1978 to 23 December 1980. He was Minister for Justice and Attorney-General from 23 December 1980 to 18 August 1983. He held Kurilpa until the 1983 Queensland state election when he was defeated on 22 October 1983 by Labor candidate Anne Warner.[1][2][3]
