Location

The village is situated in a relatively flat area. The border of the stream is more going on, so Walnut Creek, Long Valley Creek and Little Sajó. The village is the most common formations on the surface of the river gravel.

History

The first known mention of the 1219 settlement, to Váradi Regestrum. The villa's name written Vamus. The village the Akos Bebek family estate. The family called himself Bebek Pelsőczi, but for Sajóvámos Vámosi by name. The village was the center of the Bebek family's estate, the castle is built they are.

The 14th century, the village is not changed or Vamus and Wamus forms of names found in contemporary sources, however, distinguish Justice and Külvamus. In 1320 the Bebek family estate was divided, in later years he was the holder of several municipalities. The village 14th century has significant tax collector site. Typical importance to the county several times - in 1343, 1353 - Annual General Meeting held here. 1445th Bebek Act also permitted the maintenance of the castle, the family remains the master of the settlement.
