St. Petersburg 1994 was one of the bids for the 1994 Winter Games, and was to be held in St. Petersburg and Kirovsk, Murmansk Oblast, USSR. The IOC will select the host city for the 1994 Winter Olympics at the 94th IOC Session on 1988 in Seoul, South Korea.
Previous bids
St. Petersburg also hosted the Football tournament in the 1980 Summer Olympics.
Previous bids by other Soviet cities
Moscow bid to host the 1976 Summer Olympics against Montreal, Canada and Los Angeles, USA. The vote occurred on May 12, 1970, at the 69th IOC Session in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Moscow won the first round but loss the second round 41-28 to Montreal.
