Saidi Ntibazonkiza (born May 1, 1987 in Bujumbura) is a Burundian footballer, who plays for Turkish football club Akhisar Belediyespor and the Burundian national team.
Career
Ntibazonkiza started to play football at Vital'O. As an asylum seeker, he came to the Netherlands in 2005.[1] NEC was the nearest professional football club, and because of that, he trained with their youth team. NEC then signed Ntibazonkiza when they saw his huge potential. At the beginning of the 2006–07 season, he began play with the youth team, but was shortly thereafter brought up to the first squad. On November 18, 2006, against Sparta Rotterdam, the Burundian national played his first game in the Eredivisie.[2] After receiving a Dutch residence permit, Ntibazonkiza signed a contract that will bind him to NEC until the summer of 2009. He also signed a contract extension until 2012 in January 2009.[3]
