Safita District
Safita District (Arabic: منطقة صافيتا) is a district (mantiqah) administratively belonging to Tartus Governorate, Syria. At the 2004 Census it had a population of 129,632.[1] Its administrative centre is the city of Safita.
Sub-districts
The district of Safita is divided into six sub-districts or Nāḥiyas (population according to 2004 official census):
- Safita Nahiyah (ناحية صافيتا): population 60,172.[2]
- Mashta al-Helu Nahiyah (ناحية مشتى الحلو): population 12,577.[3]
- Al-Bariqiyah Nahiyah (ناحية البارقية): population 7,336.[4]
- Sebei Nahiyah (ناحية سبة): population 7,614.[5]
- Al-Sisiniyah Nahiyah (ناحية السيسنية): population 22,018.[6]
- Ras al-Khashufah Nahiyah (ناحية رأس الخشوفة): population 19,915.[7]
