Sadia Qureshi (Urdu: سعدیہ قریشی; born 8 July in Sialkot, Pakistan), is a Pakistani poet, short story writer and columnist. She has been writing columns for Jang, an Urdu daily of Pakistan, since 2007. Qureshi's weekly column in Jang is published with the name of "Poori Gwahi" in which she often illustrates degeneration of society and its values.[1]
Qureshi gained her Masters degree in English literature from Bahawalpur University in 2000 and then joined Jang, for which she regularly contributes features and articles to its Sunday Magazine.
Qureshi is also a poet and short story writer. Her ghazals, poems and short stories have been published in many Pakistani literary magazines.
Qureshi also conducts a current affairs show on Radio Pakistan, Lahore from Monday to Wednesday. She left Jang and joined Dunya in September 2012.
