Saadhika Randhawa, also known as Saadhika, is an Indian actress.

Saadhika made her debut in 1997 with Saawan Kumar's "Salma Pe Dil Aa Gaya" opposite Ayub Khan. Saadhika appeared in a number of films (including Hafta Vasuli, Kaaboo, Ab Ke Baras, Pyaasa, 2 October, Kash... Aap Humaare Hote and Shikaar, Bullet: Ek Dhamaka) until 2005 and then disappeared from the spotlight.[1][2] Recently, she tried her comeback with a teenage B-grade comedy film "Phir Tauba Tauba" but the movie was also a big flop.

Early life

Hailing from a Sikh army background. Her father initially wanted her to become an engineer but when she got the offers from Bollywood he supported her. She has a sister, model Jesse Randhawa.[3]

Career

Saadhika Randhawa won the Jaipur Queen's Crown in 1993. It was here that Saawan Kumar noticed and signed her for Salma Pe Dil Aa Gaya. After that she went on to star in the film Shikaar, and performed an item number in the film Satta.

Her subsequent attempt to break into the movie industry of southern India was not successful and she returned to Bollywood.[4] There she took a role in "Ananth" opposite "Krishna" (Govinda's nephew), Raj Sippy's "Khujali" to "Aye Watan".[5]

Aside from performing in several stage shows, Randhawa has also worked in Daler Mehndi's music album Nabi Buba Nabi.

She had a controversial topless bathing scene in her B-grade comedy flick "Phir Tauba Tauba".

Randhawa has also featured in Bhojpuri cinema. Her films Pyar Ke Bandhan and Purab with Manoj Tiwari are hits and now her next few films Pandav opposite Ravi Kissen, and Abhay Sinha’s Janam Janam Ka Saath with both Ravi Kissen and Manoj Tiwari, will be ready for release soon.[6]
