SM U-101 was one of the 329 submarines serving in the Imperial German Navy in World War I. U-101 was engaged in the German campaign against Allied commerce (Handelskrieg) during that conflict.[4] On 26 November 1917, U-101 torpedoed and damaged RFA Crenella,[5] which managed to return to port with assistance from USS Cushing.[6]
