SMKA
SMKA stands for National Islamic Secondary School (Malay: Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Agama). It is one type of institutional group of education conducted by the Ministry of Education of Malaysia.
Objectives
SMKA established with several objectives, including:
- Achieving excellence in curricular and co.
- To produce students who practice moral behavior.
- Develop new generation of students as leaders who can emulate.
- To produce students who have resilience in the face of cultural challenges that are in conflict with Islamic values.
- To prepare students to contribute effectively to meet the needs of the nation and the ummah.

Entrance
To enter SMKA, the candidate must at least have the following minimum qualifications:
Form One
- At least 4A 1Bs (SK) or 5A 2Bs (SJKC) in the Primary School Assessment Examination (UPSR)
- At least 3A in The KAFA Assessment Examination (UPKK)
- Able to read Al-Quran
- Can write Jawi
- Know the prayer
- Islam devotee
- Pass the Fardhu Ain Basic test in UPSR
- Aged 13 years and under
- Must pass the Entrance Test (in some state)
Form Four
- Pass in Lower Secondary Examination (PMR), at least 5As
- B in Arabic Language and Islamic Education
- A and B in other subjects
- Pass the Fardhu Ain Basic test in PMR
- Aged 16 years or fewer
Lower Sixth Form
- Passed in Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) examination
- Credit in Malay Language subject
- Credits in Higher Arabic Language or pass in Arabic Language for Communication
- Pass in Sharia and the Education of al-Quran and as-Sunnah
- Aged between 17 and 20 years
