SCDA Architects is a multi-disciplinary architectural practice[2][3] established in 1995.[4] Based in Singapore, the office currently employs a team of 70 architects, interior designers and landscape designers. Its approach to Architecture includes full interior design, landscape, planning services and product design.
Principal Soo K. Chan was the recipient of the inaugural President’s Design Award 2006, Singapore Designer of the Year [5] and is part of the Panel of Designers for Poliform in Milan.[6] The practice was recognized as one of the Design Vanguard [7] firms. SCDA was also awarded the Royal Institute of British Architects Worldwide Award for the Lincoln Modern in 2003,[8] and also the recipient of nine The Chicago Athenaeum International Architecture Award.
The organisation's portfolio of projects include master planning, resorts and hotels, high-rise luxury apartments, commercial and institutional buildings and private homes, spanning cities over several continents including Asia, Africa, Europe, Oceania and America.
Past distinguished projects include Singapore High Commission in Delhi, Mint Museum of Toys and Dhoby Ghaut Green.
Besides its repertoire in residential and commercial projects, SCDA marked their inaugural foray into F&B and lifestyle with its restaurant, Bistro Soori,[9] an extension of the firm’s affiliated Bali resort & spa – Alila Villas Soori.[10]
