Sângeorgiu de Mureş (Hungarian: Marosszentgyörgy, Hungarian pronunciation: [ˈmɒroʃsɛnɟørɟ]) is a commune in Mureş County, Transylvania, Romania composed of three villages:
- Cotuş / Csejd
- Sângeorgiu de Mureş
- Tofalău / Tófalva
Demographics
The commune has a Hungarian majority. According to the 2011 Census it has a population of 9,006 of which 51.87% or 4,672 are Hungarian, 38.55% are Romanian and 8.12% Romani.
