Ryze is a United States-based global recreation and entertainment company that operates 23 affiliated trampoline parks in the United States and three parks in Asia and Europe.[1][2][3][4]

International presence and expansion

In addition to its 23 U.S.-based parks, Ryze also maintains parks in Glasgow, Edinburgh[5][6] and Hong Kong.[7][8][9] The company has announced plans to launch 13 additional non-U.S. locations (six additional parks in Asia and seven parks in Europe).[10]

Issues with expansions and set backs

Ryze Edinburgh opened on January 23, 2015 with no fore warning. On the opening weekend the facility was broken into and a substantial amount was stolen[11] from the safe. The company was then hit with backlash from the media when a wave of injuries was publicised, including but not limited to - broken neck, broken back, a young child breaking their leg. Member of the public feared that staff were ill trained in the relevant first aid and safety. On the 20th of February 2015 Midlothian Council forced them to cease trading due to licensing issues,[12] Ryze never applied for an operating license. The site reopened in April 2015, but a number of customers are pursuing personal injury claims. In the first month of opening staff recorded 102 injuries to customers.[13]

Ryze Glasgow has yet to open with the opening date being moved further and further back, all dates set for opening have been missed and the company has refused to give a public statement regarding the matter.
