Ryu Shichinohe (七戸 龍 Shichinohe Ryu, born October 14, 1988 in Okinawa) is a male Japanese judoka.
His father, Yasuhiro Shichinohe, who is a former Kyokushin Karate national champion and his mother is a Belgian.[1]
In childfood, he was practicing both Judo and Karate. But at the age of 13, he chose judo.[1]
In 2011, He belonged to Kyushu Electric Power after graduating from Fukuoka University.[1]
In 2014, He won the silver medal in the heavyweight (+100 kg) division at the 2014 World Judo Championships.[1]
