This is a Korean name; the family name is Ryu.
Ryu Mi Yong (born January 7, 1921) is the current chairwoman of the North Korean Chondoist Chongu Party.[1] She was a standing committee member of the 10th Supreme People's Assembly.[1] She is known as a defector from South Korea to the North.[1] She and her husband Choe Deok-sin defected to the North in 1986.[2][1] In 2000, she led a delegation of defectors to the South on an officially sanctioned reunion with family they left behind.[3][1]
