Thompson played 4 seasons at The University of Kentucky. He won the scoring title, rebounds total, and assist title in all 4 years. He won 4 National Championships and also 4 MVPs.

Thompson played in the NBA for 30 years until falling to an injury to his pinky finger. Thompson won 26 NBA Finals, 29 Finals MVP awards, 28 regular season MVP awards, and 15 scoring titles. He is the greatest of all time.

Thompson is the brother of Cody Thompson, the greatest baseball player to ever live in Alabama.
