Ryan Serhant (born July 2, 1984)[1] is an American real estate salesperson and television star. Serhant grew up outside of Boston, Massachusetts and attended Hamilton College where he earned degrees in English Literature and Theater.[2] After graduating college, Serhant moved to New York City to pursue a career in acting. Serhant then decided to try his hand at real estate.

Early life

Serhant was born in Houston, Texas. He was raised in Topsfield, Massachusetts on the North Shore (Massachusetts) region of Boston, where he attended Pingree School.[3][4] Serhant attended Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts School & Camp while spending the summer with family in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.[5] Later, Serhant attended Hamilton College where he double majored in English Literature and Theatre.[2] He was a member of the Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity.[2]

Career

Early Work

In 2007, Serhant landed the role of Evan Walsh on As the World Turns.[3]

Real Estate

Serhant works at Nest Seekers International, one of the fastest growing real estate firms in NYC.[6][7] In 2012, The Real Deal (magazine) ranked Serhant #15 out of the 100 most successful sales people in New York.[7]

Million Dollar Listing New York

Serhant currently stars on Million Dollar Listing New York, alongside fellow brokers Fredrik Eklund and Luis D. Ortiz.

Television

Serhant frequently appears on national television shows as a Real Estate Expert.[8] He has appeared on CNN, CNBC, FOX, NBC, ABC and CBS.[8]

Serhant created, produces and stars in the real estate web series, Realty Byte with Ryan Serhant, airing online on Spin Media’s Celebuzz platform.[7]

Film

Serhant co-starred with Ben Stiller, Naomi Watts, Adam Driver, and Amanda Seyfried in Noah Baumbach’s feature film While We're Young (2014).[9]

Personal life

In 14 September 2014, Serhant shut down Times Square and proposed to lawyer Emilia Bechrakis.[10]
