Playing career

Youth and college

Kenny played club soccer for California Odyssey before committing to UC Santa Barbara,[1] redshirting his freshman season before transferring to California State University, Sacramento the following season. In Hornets history Kenny ranks third all-time in shutouts and saves, and finished his collegiate career with the school’s fourth best goals against average.

During his college years Kenny also played several seasons for Fresno Fuego in the USL Premier Development League, leading them to a league title and a National Semi-Final appearance to be named Co-Defensive player of the year.[2][3]

Professional

After spending 2010 training with Major League Soccer's Real Salt Lake, Kenny signed his first professional contract in 2011 when he signed with the Rochester Rhinos in the USL Professional Division. He made his professional debut on May 10, 2011, in a game against the Harrisburg City Islanders, which was his only USL Pro appearance for the club.[4] His last competitive appearance was in the 2011 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on June 14, 2011 against Phoenix SC.[5][6]

His professional career ended at the end of 2011 after injuries to both shoulders.
