Rudolf "Ruud" Frederik Otto van Feggelen (14 April 1924, Amsterdam – 9 August 2002, Deventer) was a Dutch water polo player who competed in the 1948 Summer Olympics and in the 1952 Summer Olympics.
Van Feggelen was born to Ms. I. van Feggelen-Hogendijken and Mr. G.J.M. van Feggelen, he was a younger brother of the renown backstroke swimmer Iet van Feggelen (1921–2012).[1] In 1948 he was a member of the Dutch water polo team that won bronze medals at the Summer Olympics. He played all seven matches and scored 16 goals. Four years later he finished fifth with the Dutch team in the water polo tournament at the 1952 Games. He played all nine matches and scored 18 goals. Between these games, he won a gold medal at the 1950 European Aquatics Championships with the Dutch team.[2][3]
After retirement, he coached the national team between 1962 and 1966. In his honor, the Ruud van Feggelen-Award was established to distinguish the water polo player of the year in the Netherlands.[3]
