Russia Leaves the War

Russia Leaves the War (1956) is a Pulitzer Prize-winning book by George F. Kennan. The book also won the National Book Award for Nonfiction,[1] the George Bancroft Prize, and the Francis Parkman Prize. The first of two volumes discussing Soviet-American relations from 1917-1920, Russia Leaves the War covers the revolution of 1917 and the departure of Russia from World War I in 1918. The second volume, The Decision to Intervene, explores U.S. involvement in Siberia.
