Rule 21

For United States Senate Rule 21, see Closed sessions of the United States Senate.

Rule 21 of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) banned members of the British security forces and the former Royal Ulster Constabulary from participating in Gaelic games.

One example of this was Brian McCargo, a Roman Catholic who played Gaelic football for Ardoyne and for county Antrim, who was told to leave by the GAA after joining the RUC. [1]

The rule was repealed in 2001. [2]
