Rui Miguel Marques Baião (born 4 September 1980 in Montijo), commonly known as Rui Baião is a former Portuguese footballer who played as a midfielder.
Career
Rui Baião is a youth product of Benfica, he played nearly 50 matches over the course of three seasons for their B-team, making his professional debut on the first team in 8 April 2001.[1] He then terminated his contract with Benfica and signed with Varzim, supposedly in transit to represent Porto, but it never materialed.[2] After that, he passed through numerous teams, including both Portimonense and Olhanense.
He retired in January 2014 with a heart condition.[3]
