Rudrapur is a town and a nagar panchayat in Deoria district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census,[1] Rudrapur had a population of 28,324. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Rudrapur has an average literacy rate of 52%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 62%, and female literacy is 41%. In Rudrapur, 18% of the population is under 6 years of age.

History

Rudrapur was the kingdom of Satasi Raj, The satasi Raj fort is still there & lots of people visit every day.Dugdheshwar nath temple(Old Shiv Mandir) is located near rudrapur city.it is one of the oldest temple in deoria district.
