Rudder is an audit and configuration management tool for large IT infrastructures, written in Scala (programming language), that works on top of CFEngine. It is published under the GNU Affero Public License 3.0.

History
Rudder is an Open Source addition to CFEngine 3 and is closely related to the Community Edition of CFEngine. The CFEngine Company has a commercial version of the product, CFEngine Enterprise.
CFEngine released version 3.6 June 18, 2014. Normations release for CFEngine 3.6 is Rudder 2.11
