"Rubella" is a song by the Chicago-based pop punk band the Smoking Popes, released as the first single from their 1994 album Born to Quit. The album was originally released by Johann's Face Records in 1994 and was re-released in July 1995 by Capitol Records after the band signed to that label. The album had been engineered, produced, and mixed by Phil Bonnet, but "Rubella" was remixed by Thom Wilson and mastered by Wally Traugott for release as a one-track CD single to radio stations following the band's signing to Capitol.[1]

A music video for "Rubella" was filmed and released, but the song failed to chart.[2] The band's next single, "Need You Around", would be their only song to reach the charts.

"Rubella" was covered by The Red Hot Valentines for the 2003 Smoking Popes Tribute album.
