Rubén García Rey (born 16 January 1986), simply known as Rubén, is a Spanish professional footballer who plays for Juventud de Torremolinos CF as a right back.

Football career

Born in Málaga, Andalusia, Rubén only played lower league football in his country. From 2007 to 2010 he competed in Segunda División B in representation of Real Valladolid B and Lucena CF,[1] making no league appearances for the latter in the last season.

In the 2012 summer, after playing two years with CD Alhaurino, one in Tercera División and the other in the regional championships, Rubén signed for Scottish First Division side Cowdenbeath, after his agent sent YouTube videos to club manager Colin Cameron and the player impressed in a subsequent trial.[2]
