The Royal Cornhill Hospital is a psychiatric hospital in Aberdeen, Scotland. It is the main centre for the treatment of people with mental health problems in Grampian.[1]
The hospital is situated on Westburn Road, East of the Foresterhill site.
History
The hospital was founded in 1800 as the Aberdeen Lunatic Asylum. The city's dancing master, Francis Peacock, donated all the funds from the profits of his 1805 book on dancing to the asylum.[2]
