RoughBook is a feature film directed by Ananth Narayan Mahadevan under the Aerika Cineworks Banner.[1] The film features Tannishtha Chatterjee and Amaan Khan in lead roles with Joy Sengupta, Jayati Bhatia, and Vinay Jain in supporting roles. Television actor Ram Kapoor makes a special appearance in the film. The narrative was written by Sanjay Chouhan and Ananth Mahadevan.[2] Rough Book is a hard look at the education system in contemporary India.The filmmakers describe what they assert to be the lacuna of the system, impeding opportunities for growth, and what they believe to be teachers' typical demand and supply mentality towards education.

Synopsis

Roughbook is a hard look at the education system in India. The story revolves around the division among students on the basis of their grades and it is devoid of any melodrama, almost gentle in its telling. The rebellion of the teacher and her students are internalized to make their point.
