Ross Golan (born April 8, 1980)[1] is a multi-platinum selling songwriter[2] from the north suburbs of Chicago. He studied music at the University of Southern California[3] and has since released songs with artists including Maroon 5, Nicki Minaj, Cee Lo Green, Lady Antebellum, Justin Bieber, Keith Urban, Flo Rida, Demi Lovato, 5 Seconds of Summer, Gavin DeGraw, Colbie Caillat, Prince Royce, Snoop Dogg, James Blunt, Big Sean, Travis Barker, Skylar Grey, Rixton and Icona Pop [4] amongst many others. He's had multiple record deals as an artist as well. The first was in 2003 with Insider Trading Corporation/EMI which was a label Golan started while in school. The label teamed up with EMI's then president, Phil Quatararo, and released "Reagan Baby". After that, Ross co-founded Glacier Hiking which had a hybrid publishing/label deal with Lionsgate[5] The band released a self-titled EP before breaking up in 2009. Throughout both projects, Ross developed a one-man musical called, The Wrong Man[6] which is about a man who's wrongly accused of the crime committed in Reno, NV. The show opened in February 2014 and received three Ovation Awards of four Nominations including Best Musical, Best Book and Best Lyrics and Music.[7] He's currently signed to Warner/Chappell Music.[8]
