Rosenborg Ishockeyklubb Elite (RIHK) is a Norwegian ice hockey club located in Trondheim, Norway. Rosenborg have been playing in the Norwegian first division, the league below the GET-ligaen. In March, 2010, Rosenborg IHKE was promoted to the GET-ligaen, and are currently playing in GET-ligaen, Norway's premier division. Rosenborg finished second in the playoff group stage behind Frisk-Asker Tigers, to achieve this promotion. Kongsvinger Knights and Grüner were the 3rd and 4th placed teams in the group, finding themselves in the 1st division the next season as well.

History

Because of the 2012 NHL lockout, Jack Skille of the Florida Panthers signed with RIHK. Skille will not receive any wages from Rosenborg and was the first NHL player to go to Norway during the lockout.^[1]
