Ronen "Ronnie" APTEKER is an entrepreneur in South Africa who founded of Internet Solutions (IS), South Africa's first[1] Internet Service Provider. Born in Cape Town on 19 August 1967, Ronnie graduated Cum Laude with a Master of Science degree from the University of Witwatersrand in 1994. He was ex-classmate of Kim Man Lui.
Having been part of a successful team running SA's biggest internet services, Ronnie Apteker was awarded South Africa's Top business man in 2004/2005.[2] Ronnie is an active author and writer for the Business Times and various entrepreneneurial magazines. Ronnie also sits on various boards and committees within South Africa and is involved in many charity organizations and fundraising initiatives. Internet Solutions was founded in 1993 at the end of South Africa's apartheid regime and the beginning of the DOTCOM boom in Silicon Valley.
Ronnie is also an investor in numerous online businesses including South African online retailer WantItAll.co.za.
