Ronnie Aguilar
Ronnie Amir Aguilar (born June 24, 1987 in Los Angeles, California) is a Salvadoran/Honduran-American professional basketball player. Aguilar is 7’1” and plays the center position. He is of both Salvadoran and Honduran descent. Aguilar graduated from John Marshall High School in 2005.
Collegiate career
After high school, Aguilar attended Colorado State University. Redshirting 2005–06, Aguilar played two seasons at Colorado State from 2006–2008.
In 2009, Aguilar transferred to California State University, Dominguez Hills for 2009–10 and 2010–11.
Professional career
In November 2011, Aguilar was acquired by the Bakersfield Jam of the NBA Development League. In 6 games, he averaged 2.2 points and 4.2 rebounds per game. He was released by the Jam in December 2011.
On September 27, 2012, he signed with the Los Angeles Lakers, making him the league's first Salvadoran American player.[1] He was later waived by the Lakers on October 20.[2]
In January 2013, he joined Trotamundos de Carabobo of Venezuela. He left after one game.
On November 2, 2013, he was re-acquired by the Bakersfield Jam.[3] However, he was later waived on November 17.
