Bronze 1968 Mexico City 400 metres Ron ran the fastest 400 meter relay leg in the history of the Olympic Games which stood for more than 25 years.

Ronald ("Ron") J. Freeman II (born June 12, 1947) is a former American athlete, the winner of a gold medal in the 4x400m relay and a bronze medal in the 400m dash at the 1968 Summer Olympics.

Born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Ron Freeman was third in the 400m dash and ran the second leg (43.2) in the American 4x400m relay team, which won the gold medal with a new world record of 2.56.16. Ron's relay leg was the fastest 400 meter relay leg EVER ran and his time stood for more than 25 years.
