The Roman Catholic Diocese of Zielona Góra-Gorzów (Latin: Viridimontanensis-Gorzoviensis) is an diocese located in the cities of Zielona Góra and Gorzów Wielkopolski in the Ecclesiastical province of Szczecin-Kamień in Poland. Like in most Polish dioceses church attendance has been declining for the most recent 10 years. According to the statistics 28.1% of the dioceses population attended church services weekly in 2013, however more than 40% did so back in 2000.
History
- June 28, 1972: Established as Diocese of Gorzów from the Diocese of Berlin, Germany
- March 25, 1992: Renamed as Diocese of Zielona Góra – Gorzów
