Roman Catholic Diocese of Leavenworth

The Diocese of Leavenworth (Leavenworthen(sis)) was created on May 22, 1877, by Pope Pius IX.[1] On May 10, 1947, the diocese was renamed for what is now the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas.[2] In 1995, the Diocese of Leavenworth was restored as a titular see.[3]
