The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Beijing (Latin: Archidioecesis Pechimensis, Chinese: 天主教北京总教区; pinyin: Tiānzhǔjiào Běijīng zǒng jiàoqū) is an archdiocese located in the city of Beijing in China.
History
- 1307: Established as Archdiocese of Khanbalik
- 1375: Suppressed
- April 10, 1690: Restored as Diocese of Beijing from the Apostolic Vicariate of Nanjing
- May 30, 1856: Demoted as Apostolic Vicariate of Northern Chi-Li
- December 3, 1924: Renamed as Apostolic Vicariate of Beijing
- April 11, 1946: Promoted as Metropolitan Archdiocese of Beijing
