Rolando Mosca Moschini
Rolando Mosca Moschini, born March 9, 1939 in Umbria is an Italian army general.[1][2]
Mosca Moschini started his career as a cadet of the prestigious Nunziatella military academy of Naples. He was commissioned as an officer in 1959, and initially served with artillery units of the Italian army. Mosca Moschini served as Commanding General of the Guardia di Finanza (an Italian military police in the economic and financial area) from January 1997 to March 2001, and as Capo di Stato Maggiore della Difesa, Armed Forces Chief of Defence, from April 1, 2001. On April 9, 2004, he left that post to become chairman of European Union Military Committee (EUMC) after Gustav Hägglund. On November 6, 2006, he was succeeded as chairman by Henri Bentégeat.[3] Now he is the Aide-de-camp of Italian President of the Republic Giorgio Napolitano.
