Rogers Omondi (born 19 March 1993 in Eldoret) is a Kenyan professional footballer who plays as a second striker for Kenyan National Super League club FC Talanta.
Club career
Omondi started his career in the Provincial League when he was 14 with GFC 105 and scored 32 goals in 108 games in the league. Because there is no infrastructure for the youth in the country, this explains his young age. He finally joined the newly created National Youth Talent Academy in 2011 before joining FC Talanta in 2012.
Rogers played the U23 tournament in Ghana held by Liberty Professionals with NYTA and then for FC Talanta against Uganda Revenue Authority SC (won 2-1), both in 2012. He was the best striker during the Liberty Professionals tournament in 2012.
International career
In August 2013, Omondi was called up to the Kenya national team for the game against Namibia.[1][2]
