Rodu Sultan

Rodu Sultan is a big town of Jhang District in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It is populated area of district whose population is above 90 thousands including some vicinities.


It is located at 31°4'N 72°0'E with an elevation of 150 metres (490 ft).[1] It is located on main Muzaffar Garh-Khushab road between Athara Hazari and Hasoo Balail; it is about 17 km west of the Chenab River.

Khokhar, Bukhari, Sial, Baloch, Jaat, Butt, Bhatti, Meo and Rajpoot are the main castes of this town.

The town is named after the Muslim saint Baba Rodu Sultan, whose tomb is in the town.

Every year according to Hindi calendar during the first week of Katak a big fair is celebrated in Rodu Sultan.
