Rodrigo Capó Ortega (born 8 December 1980) is a Uruguayan rugby union player, currently playing in the Top 14 for Castres, where he won the 2012-13 championship.

Biography

Capó Ortega was born in Montevideo. He played for Carrasco Polo Club in Uruguay. He plays in Europe for Castres Olympique, a French team, who he joined in 2002.

He has 38 caps with 12 tries scored, 60 points on aggregate, for Uruguay national rugby union team. His first game was on 12 November 2000 against Chile in an 11-9 victory. He played four games at the 2003 Rugby World Cup, and scored a try against South Africa. In 2009 he left the Teros due to issues between the Uruguayan Rugby Union and Carrasco Polo. Capó Ortega returned at the 2015 Rugby World Cup repechage, which signaled Uruguay's return to the finals, after a 12 years absence.

Capó Ortega likes to drink Mate before entering onto the pitch.[1]
