Rodd Christensen (born 4 May 1967) is an American actor best known for his performance as Spencer the painter on the BBC children's television programme Balamory. He was the only non-British actor on the show.
Christensen was born in Las Vegas, Nevada and trained as an actor. A devout Christian, in 1992 he moved to Scotland and spent eleven years doing youth work with charity Scripture Union in Fife.[1] [2] Between 2002 and 2005 he appeared in Balamory in the role of Spencer, a painter and musician.[1]
He appeared as a security guard in the 2009 film New Town Killers.[3]
Rodd Christensen is married with two daughters including pornographic actress Skin Diamond;[4] In 2009 he was employed as a bus driver for Stagecoach Group with their Fife operations .[3] He left the company in 2013 when after living in Fife for 21 years now moved to Las Vegas with his family.[2] He is a keen photographer.[5][6]
