Rocket Monkeys is a Canadian animated television series that premiered on January 10, 2013 on Teletoon in Canada.[2] The series was created by Dan Abdo and Jason Patterson and developed by Mark Evestaff and Alex Galatis. Rocket Monkeys is produced by Breakthrough Entertainment in association with Teletoon Canada Inc., Atomic Cartoons, and Hornet Films. The show premiered March 4, 2013 on Nickelodeon in the United States.

On June 4, 2013, Teletoon renewed the show for an additional 26 episodes.[3] It was announced that the show was renewed for a third season on October 15, 2014.[4]

Characters

Gus is the more logical and serious Rocket Monkey.

Wally is the sillier and more carefree Rocket Monkey.

YAY-OK is an outdated robot who travels through space with the Rocket Monkeys.

Dr. Chimpsky is the head of GASI who gives the Rocket Monkeys their missions to complete.

Inky is Gus' pet space octopus who is often included as part of the Rocket Monkeys team.

Lord Peel is a galactic villain who the Rocket Monkeys always mistake for a giant banana.

Nefarious is an evil squid-like being who strongly dislikes the Rocket Monkeys for stranding him on a barren asteroid.

Gamester X is a frog-like alien with a singular eye and an obsession for collecting valuable items.

Monkevil is a female monkey who the Rocket Monkeys had a crush on, not knowing she was actually a criminal. Her catchphrase is "poopy doopy."

The Space Gorillas are two gorillas and the Rocket Monkeys' rivals. There are two, named He-Rilla and She-Rilla.

Bernice is the Rocket Monkeys' mother.

Deep Space Dave is the Rocket Monkeys' favorite television superhero.
