Robert Sabbag

Robert Sabbag is an American journalist and author of two books on drug smuggling in the United States: Snowblind: A Brief Career in the Cocaine Trade, and the follow-up book Smokescreen: A True Adventure. Another work, Down Around Midnight (Viking, 2009) is based on a plane crash he survived in 1979.

Personal

Sabbag lives on Cape Cod. He obtained degrees from Boston Latin School and Georgetown University.^[1]

Career

Sabbag began his career in journalism as a general assignment reporter in Washington and Boston. He is a regular contributor to Rolling Stone magazine, The New York Times Magazine, Men's Journal, Playboy, New York, and The Los Angeles Times Magazine.^[1][2] Sabbag was one of the screenwriters for the 1999 TV motion picture Witness Protection,^[3] based on his New York Times Magazine cover story "The Invisible Family." He is represented by the William Morris Agency.

Sabbag is a member of the Authors Guild and the Writers Guild of America.^[1]
