Robert McLachlan (cinematographer)

Robert McLachlan (born March 23, 1956, in San Francisco) is a Canadian cinemotagrapher.

McLachlan studied Fine Art at University of British Columbia and later Film and Communications at Simon Fraser University. He started his career filming documentaries and commercials and became a director of photography at 29. He has been a member of the Canadian Society of Cinematographers since 1987. In 2002, he became a member of the American Society of Cinematographers, which includes the top 250 cinematographers around the world. McLachlan is most recognized for his work on the television series Millennium, for which he has won multiple Canadian Society of Cinematographers Awards and was nominated for several American Society of Cinematographers Awards. McLachlan later shifted to feature films. According to Creative COW, McLachlan's work is recognized for his "influential, groundbreaking, moody, atmospheric visuals".[1] McLachlan is slated to film the final two episodes of Game of Thrones '​ third season.[1]
