Robert L. Smith is a recording engineer and record producer in New York City. His work includes recording and mixing cover songs "Teenage Dream" and "Hey, Soul Sister" with The Warblers for television show Glee.[1]

Smith has worked on recording projects with Lady Gaga, Aerosmith, David Bowie, and Stacie Rose.[2][3]

His Emmy Award nomination was earned for the documentary Full Battle Rattle with composer Paul Brill, for which Smith was the sound recordist and sound mixer.

Smith is a founding member of New York's Pyramid Recording Collective.[4]

Smith has his own music production company called Defy Recordings.[5]
