Robbie Rochow (born 22 August 1990) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer for the Newcastle Knights of the National Rugby League. He played previously for the Melbourne Storm. He primarily plays lock, prop and second-row.

Playing career

Born in Maitland, New South Wales, Rochow played his junior football for the East Maitland Griffins before graduating to first-grade for the Kurri Kurri Bulldogs.

As a 17-year old, Rochow played SG Ball with the Newcastle Knights before being signed by the Melbourne Storm. He played for the Storm's NYC team in 2009 and 2010.^[1] In 2009, Rochow played in the Toyota Cup Grand Final-winning Storm team, starting in the second-row, defeating the Wests Tigers.^[2]

In Round 14 of the 2010 NRL season Rochow made his NRL debut for the Storm against the Sydney Roosters.

In July 2011, Rochow signed a 1-year contract with the Newcastle Knights, his junior club, to link up with super coach Wayne Bennett.^[3]

In May 2012, Rochow re-signed with the Knights on 2-year contract after impressive form in the NSW Cup.^[4]

In Round 19 of the 2012 NRL season Rochow made his debut for the Knights off the bench after Neville Costigan was ruled out with injury.^[5]

On 22 May 2013, Rochow re-signed with the Knights on a 2-year contract.^[6]
