Rob Rackstraw

Robert "Rob" Rackstraw (born 31 October 1965 in Sunderland)^[1] is a British voice actor well known for his various voice-over roles in the popular television series Bob the Builder, mainly the scarecrow Spud.

As of 2015 he joined the voice cast of Thomas & Friends voicing the characters of Toby in the UK and James in the US.

Career

He has an extensive voice over career over 20 years and is considered to be one of the UK's leading male voice-over actors. He also played the main villain Pew in The Legends of Treasure Island, Voracious in Foxbusters, Buster and George in The Koala Brothers, Professor Professor in The Secret Show, Mr. Messy, Mr. Noisy, Mr. Fussy, Mr. Tickle, Mr. Happy in the UK version of The Mr. Men Show, Dad in Dennis and Gnasher, Kwazii in The Octonauts and Captain Campion in Watership Down.

He also wrote episodes of Avenger Penguins and Fantomcat.
