Rob Pottorf

Rob Pottorf (born c. 1959) is an American composer.

Pottorf was born and raised in Sidney, Ohio. He graduated in 1977 from Sidney High School. He was inducted into the same Hall of Fame in 2005.[1]

After 10 successful years as Senior Music Composer with Paramount Parks (a division of Paramount Pictures/Viacom), he ventured out in 1999 to pursue his career in film and television. In just a short period of time, his music could be heard on CBS, HGTV, Court TV and PAXNET. While most of his time was spent scoring animated series such as “Hermie a Common Caterpillar” with Tim Conway and Don Knotts and “On the Farm” with Vince Gill, Amy Grant and Randy Travis to name a few, more film opportunities started to appear. After working on the film Bobby Jones Stroke of Genius, his latest film with actor Will Patton (Remember the Titans, Mothman Prophecies, Armageddon, Gone in 60 Seconds, No Way Out) "Dog Days of Summer" and a new animated series “Danger Rangers” on PBS marks another turning point in his career.
