Rishika Sunkara (born 14 May 1993 in Vijayawada) is an Indian tennis player. She has won three titles on the ITF Women's Circuit; one in singles and four in doubles. On 21 October 2013, she reached her best singles ranking of world number 458. On 5 August 2013, she peaked at world number 375 in the doubles rankings.
Sunkara competed for the India Fed Cup team in 2013 and 2014.
Playing for India at the Fed Cup, Sunkara has a win–loss record of 2–3.
Early life
Rishika Sunkara was born on 14 May 1993 in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. She has an elder who used to play tennis.
Personal life
She started playing tennis at the age of 6. Her elder brother used to play tennis which inspired her to take up the game. She has cited Justin Henin as her role model.[2]
