RINGA LINGA (Korean: 링가 링가) is a song recorded by South Korean idol singer Taeyang. It was released as a digital single on November 8, 2013 through YG Entertainment. Later it was included in his full album RISE in 2014, as well.

It was well received by music critics and among netizens, charting strongly throughout various music charts. On Gaon Digital Chart, it recorded 31,851,571 digital downloads in South Korea.

Ringa Linga is a part of a children's song, sung while going round and around with hands held.[1]

Genre

The song is a mix of trap base, dubstep and electronic. There's rap, and also some hip hop included. It is a bass-heavy, electro-tinged hybrid R&B and reggae song.

Music video

A dance music video was released on November 7, showing the song choreography and Taeyang's dance that emphasized rhythm. Directed by Jerry Evans, the video saw Taeyang and male dancers dancing through a practice room to a garage, to a hallway continuously. The dance performance video captured in one take.[2]

Two days later the music video was also released, the sets included a warehouse, a place in front of a dilapidated building, a barebones elevator, a pickup truck, supported by a dance crew and band mate G-Dragon.

Promotion

Taeyang's first comeback was on Inkigayo. He continued promoting the song on M! Countdown and Inkigayo stages. He also performed at the 2013 MAMA with Big Bang and did a mini concert on Mnet MUST. In December, the YG x Samsung Music Project released "Ringa Linga (Shockbit Remix)".[3]
